Post It Notes in a Big Pile: Studying, Revision, Notes, Success
I took these photos as I was writing my ‘Primary School Diaries’ novel, soon to be published on Amazon for ages 8 and up. As part of my planning I had stuck lots of post it notes on the wall to help me order my thoughts, and as I transferred the notes onto my computer, I scrunched each one up and threw it in a pile. The pile could look like failure, but to me it was a picture of success, or breaking down a big task into little bite size chunks, and the pile of screwed up paper growing as I achieved each little task. I hope these photos will inspire students with their own studying or challenges they face.
Spanish: Countries and Languages Colouring Page and Clipart
A fun and educational colouring activity, ideal for primary school students, and students learning English as a foreign language. Appropriate for students learning the names of the countries, and the languages spoken. Could be printed out and coloured in to stick on the front of a book or folder to help organise the subjects being studied at school or college. Or as the start of a mind map to find out what students already know, or what they have learnt in their classes.
Be Kind to Others: Classroom Rules Colouring Page
A colouring activity to encourage students to be the best they can be, to be considerate to others, and to follow the classroom rules. Space has been deliberately left so that each student can add their own details, decoration, or examples of the rules in action. Ideal for primary school students, and students learning English as a foreign language.

World War Two Bundle
A collection of photos and hand drawn colouring pages of the World War Two bunkers on the British Channel Island of Alderney, which was evacuated and became the base for four prisoner of war camps, and a large fortified wall. Photos are taken at Bibette Head and across the island, including the Anti Aircraft bunker known as ‘The Odeon’. I made a video of the bunkers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsXKBVzIBWo), and run free virtual field trips of the bunkers for schools through Skype in the Classroom. The bundle would also be relevant for discussions about materials such as concrete and metal, sea water corrosion of metal, architecture and design, engineering, and the human impacts of the war. The local children were evacuated first, and Jewish labourers were brought to the camps. Today on the island you will find older generations and families where the labourers married the soldiers and the soldiers remained after the war to help clear up the 30,000 or more land mines. Why was the island part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall? Was there a strategy in place? How was the concrete brought to the island by ship? How did they use concrete to camouflage the bunkers to look like rocks? Why did the soldiers take wood from the houses to burn?

A fun and educational colouring activity, ideal for primary school students, and students learning English as a foreign language. Can be used as an individual colouring activity during wet break, as a reward, or as part of group work or games where students have to use the character within their story, space or monster setting
